Note that this bureaucrat says "I'd rather have this law than not". And I guess he feels that it is A-OK to use deception to pass the law that he wants. So, in other words, FU American public - you get what I give you good and hard.

I would be mad and upset, but I have long understood that THIS IS THE WAY GOVERNMENT WORKS. Whether it is Obamacare, the War on Drugs, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, or the War in Iraq, it starts with deception and goes downhill from there.
